The ASA council in their November meeting voted and announced that the pitching distance in the 14 and under, A and B divisions will be moved to 43 feet distance beginning in 2013. This matches the distance at the high school and college levels.
The council also voted and approved that metal cleats will be allowed in the 14 and under, A and B divisions as well. Both changes are for championship play.
Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) will also change the pitching distance in 2013 for 14u divisions to 43 feet. As of this writing PGF does not allow metal cleats in the 14u divisions.
